How To Install Windows 10 Technical Preview In A Sandbox
If you want to get up close and personal with the latest version of Windows then you have a couple options. First up, if you have an old PC that isn’t doing very much then you could install Windows 10 from a flash drive. That may not be the best solution. We think it would be better to run the new OS inside a “sandbox,” a virtual machine. This way it won’t affect your system in any way and it’ll be more convenient than rummaging around for that old PC.
To install Windows 10 Technical preview doesn’t take too long, the whole process takes approximately 30 (depending on the speed of your PC).
This is a quick guide on how to install what you need in a few steps:
1: Start off by navigating Microsoft’s website and download the Windows 10 Technical Preview ISO file. Just simply click through the “Get Started” and “Join Now” screens, then scroll down and choose the appropriate language and version (32- or 64-bit).
2: Download and install Oracle VM VirtualBox, the free virtualization tool which is going to make it possible for you to run Windows 10 inside Windows.
3: Run VirtualBox, then click the New icon. In the Create Virtual Machine dialog box, type ‘Windows 10,’ then click the version selector and choose Windows 8.1 You must ensure that you match the ISO to what you downloaded, either 32 or 64 bit, to what version is listed for 8.1.

TCD members meet JK, fail to reach consensus

Finally, members of Tanzania Centre for Democracy (TCD) comprising all political party leaders met President Jakaya Kikwete yesterday here where they discussed two crucial political issues – standoff in constitution making process and the forthcoming General Election. They failed to reach consensus.
He met with the party leaders for the three good hours at the State House in Kilimani area – the historical place where tough decisions are normally taken.
It took place from 12.30 to 15.30 hours, but only ended up by resolving that the two sides—the ruling CCM and the opposition parties keep on thinking about the matters and meet again on September 8, in the nation’s designated capital.
“We met the President and discussed two main issues, the deadlocked constitution making process and the 2015 General Election. But we agreed that we meet again on September 8, this year after we all had given those matters a deeper though,” TCD chairman, John Cheyo, told reporters without shedding more light.
Early last month, members of the Coalition of Defenders of the People's Constitution (Ukawa) who form the opposition part of TCD, threatened to conduct countrywide demonstrations should Kikwete refuse to suspend the ongoing constitutional review process claiming it was a one side show.
Ukawa had also agreed that in the coming General Election scheduled for October next year, the winner of the Presidential post should garner at least 51 per cent or more of the total votes cast as provided in the present constitution. Should there be any disputes as to the results, then such discrepancies should be pursued in the court of law and not on the streets, they averred.
Soon after the meeting with the President, neither of the party leaders was willing to brief journalists who had gathered outside the meeting room on what had transpired in their talks.
TCD members were seen heading for another meeting of their own without the President.
“I am not in a position to speak to the media as this is not a meeting by members of the Coalition of People's Constitution (Ukawa) but rather one by the Tanzania Centre for Democracy,” said Prof Ibrahim Lipumba while heading to the other meet – for TCD leaders only.
TCD is composed of all political parties with representation in Parliament.
After the TCD meeting that lasted for an hour, it’s when its chairman, John Cheyo, spoke to journalists on what transpired in the two meetings.
“As TCD, we have formed a sub committed to look into the matters in details so that when we meet the President again on September 8, we should be in a position to make our stand on the material day,” noted Cheyo, who did not even disclose the members of the subcommittee.
Opposition party leaders in TCD arrived on a private jet in Dodoma at around 10.15 hours and headed straight to meet their CCM counterparts, before they later went to meet the head of State.
Around 20 political leaders attended the meeting. Besides President Kikwete, they included TCD chairman Johy Cheyo, Chadema secretary general Dr Wilbrod Slaa, CCM vice chairman (Mainland) Philip Mangula, CCM secretary general Abdulrahman Kinana and TLP national chairman Augustine Lyatonga Mrema.
Others were NCCR national chairman James Mbatia, CUF national chairman Prof Ibrahim Lipumba, Chadema’s Tundu Lissu and many others.
Ukawa member walked out of the Constituent Assembly in mid April this year claiming that they were not satisfied with the manner in which they were handled in the CA. They have since then, refused to go back.

Ten Tanzanian Students Win BG Scholarship to Study in the UK
TEN Tanzanian students have won BG Tanzania scholarships to pursue postgraduate students in the oil and gas sector at UK universities.
The natural gas investor, BG Tanzania held a predeparture luncheon for the ten lucky students in Dar es Salaam on Thursday to bid them farewell before they leave for the UK.
In the luncheon, the students had opportunity to meet the BG East Africa President and Asset General Manager, Derek Hudson, and the BG Tanzania management team before departure.
The BG scholarship scheme, which is part of the company's social performance and local content strategy, provides opportunities for 10 Tanzanians each year to study in the UK and to become part of the future work force in Tanzania's oil and gas sector.
The programme, which began in 2012, initially sponsored 2 scholars each year, and has increased to 10 this year. The scholarship is open to all Tanzanians with the right qualifications.
The scholarships, funded by BG Tanzania and administered in partnership with the British Council, cover the cost of academic fees, travel, living expenses and pastoral support while the graduates are in the UK.
Scholars will also be given opportunities to visit the BG group headquarters in Reading, UK. Speaking at the event, Mr Hudson, emphasised the company's commitment to supporting Government initiatives aimed at increasing the number of qualified Tanzanians who have international standard skills and competencies in oil and gas related fields.

CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR THE YEAR 2014

The Chevening Scholarships will cover:
· Tuition fees;
· A living allowance at set rate (for one individual);
· An economy class return airfare to the UK; and
· An additional allowance package.
Qualifications
· Applicants must be holders of bachelor degree with upper second class honours degree
· Applicants must be completed at least two years work or equivalent experience before applying for a Chevening Scholarship
· Applicants must be able to meet the Chevening minimum English language requirement
· Applicants must be able to obtain the correct visa, and receive an unconditional offer from a UK university.
